    Properties:

    White acicular crystal. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol. It breaks up into ammonia and ammonium bifluoride in hot water, into ammonia and hydrogen fluoride if it is heated.
    Uses: Glass etching agent, wood and wine preservative, disinfectant, analytical reagent, fiber mordant, and reagent of extracting rare elements.
